Actualization in Guided Bone Regeneration in Implant
Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) and Ridge Augmentation have become routine procedures to enhance the functional, biological and aesthetic outcome of dental implants.
This course will provide extensive theoretical concepts and hands-on exercises on simulated anatomical models and animal models to prepare the participant with the surgical skills necessary to perform GBR. Special attention will be given to the selection of graft materials and membranes based on scientific evidence and several years of clinical experience.
Using an animal model the student will have the opportunity to manipulate techniques of Slipt-Crest using Meisinger systems, chisels and discs, Piezo-Surgery and others. Still using an animal model, this formation also includes techniques of autogenous bone block grafts harvest, fixation of the blocks using graft screws, fixation of absorbable membranes with tacks, titanium mesh membranes stabilized with osteosynthesis screws.
