About SPI Formation
The SPI Research Centre has a complete offer of courses that can be adjusted to the professional needs. Starting with a complete course in Implantology that will provide the professional with deep knowledge in this field, till different skills improvement courses that allow the professional to choose which areas he wants to improve.
Our Concerns
As our main concern, we feel that one of our missions is not just about the transmission of information. It is important that this information is interpreted so that it can be used by the student in his / her professional activity.
Another concern of the training team is due to another finding about the reality observed in the relationship between the training organizations and the students.
It is often observed that when students look for training, they do not yet have criteria that allow them to quantify or qualify the levels of knowledge to be acquired, either because they are unaware of the subject to be acquired or because of the lack of knowledge about the transmission capacity of the Team, leading to two typical situations. The most frequent situation is described in the one in which the student, after the training continues without being able to apply the transmitted knowledge, either because of insecurity, absence or incapacity to transmit or acquire them. The second most frequently observed is described as one in which the student after training, even without sufficient knowledge applies in practice either through despair or unconsciousness.
There are often demanding formations in theoretical knowledge, but poor in clinical and practical knowledge. More frequently, there are formations rich in clinical and practical application, but very poor both in theoretical contents and in the concern of their transmission. The latter often present the limitation of not having a continuity in the resolution of the treatment, that is, the student goes through the surgical phase of the rehabilitations, but does not follow the postoperative period nor the prosthetic phase of the cases, limiting the formation to a purely technical interpretation of the performed training, only in the first treatment stage.
In addition to this theoretical and practical training, the Formation Team also undertakes to explain all the laboratory steps, often considered as the biggest puzzle for most professionals. We believe that this component is fundamental for the accomplishment of a rehabilitation, since it allows to prevent and overcome certain obstacles, as a consequence of the improvement between the Dentist or Stomatologist and the Dental Technician.

Why do we believe in our goals?
Generally speaking, the elements of the SPI Research Centre have already gone through a large number of trainings as students. This global vision, in addition to acquiring knowledge about the areas mentioned and transmitting them to other elements, also makes it possible to overcome obstacles visible in other formations.
The SPI Research Centre, like other good formations and post graduation courses, aims to create the best possible conditions for the acquisition of knowledge by the student, allowing the sharing of knowledge and support in the clinical activity of the student throughout their life.
The SPI Research Centre is also committed to supporting its students throughout their professional life, as it has for some time with their close colleagues of the Núcleo CIRO, either by discussing clinical cases throughout existing periodic seminars, or through appointments with the members.
